These black and white stills are taken from a variety of assignments completed during the Photo Design course, which focused on learning the fundamentals of camera work, including composition, framing, aperture, focusing, exposure, and more. For the majority of the assignments, we used traditional black and white film cameras. We learned to process and care for the film in a darkroom and then properly scan the photographs onto our computers. The assignments covered a range of photographic techniques, including motion, repetition, depth, landscapes, and symmetry, allowing us to explore different aspects of visual storytelling and composition.
